All these paintings attained their present form during the year 2000. I may add to some of them, so I don't think of them as completed. Most of these paintings were in a show titled 'Stars, Stones, and Spirits' (November 2000). This group is painted with oils, on textured masonite (exceptions will be noted). All of the paintings include a specially made, textured, and hand-painted frame. This group features my experiments with textures and sanding techniques. This, when combined with transparent oil paint, produces a wonderful shimmering surface for beautiful things to happen. I enjoyed seeing the evolution of these paintings.
